4 Must-Have Accessories You Should Always Bring on a Beach Vacation

A beach vacation is the best kind of vacation.  After all, what better way to relax, soak up the sun and enjoy a calming experience beachside? However the way you pack for vacation can make a world of difference on the overall experience. After all, the things you pack for a beach vacation are not going to be the same way you would pack for a skiing vacation.

Not to mention, depending on your specific needs, you may require certain items to improve your vacation experience. For example, if you’re over the age of 70, you might want to bring certain medications you require and even a walking stick. Whereas if you’re a family traveling with children, you’ll probably want to bring plenty of beach toys.

Fear not, regardless of who you are or what age you are, here are some general must-have accessories that everyone should bring when going on a beach vacation.

High Quality Bag

A durable bag is a must whenever you go on vacation.  This is especially important if you’re going on a beach vacation, since you’re going to be hauling around all sorts of stuff, particularly things that are wet.

As you know, when things are wet they tend to weigh more, so you want to make sure that your bag is resistant. Ideally, you want one with multiple compartments so you can put all your beach needs inside of it.  From your sun cream to your sunglasses, multiple compartments won’t just help you find things easily, but it also helps protect each item from getting wet or scratched.

Sun Gear

Regardless of how much you love the sun, too much of anything can be a bad thing.  You want to bring plenty of sun gear, particularly if you’re going to a tropical climate. From a sun hat to sunglasses, to sunscreen, bring everything you need to protect yourself while lounging under the sun.

Water Bottle

Sure, you can buy water where you’re travelling to, however, buying plastic water bottles isn’t doing anyone a favor. Not to mention, the plastic can overheat throughout the day, and won’t just taste lousy, but it can also make you sick.

Bring your own insulated water bottle so you can sip on water throughout the day.  That way you can drink cool refreshing water that isn’t warm and doesn’t taste like plastic. Not to mention, you’re doing your part to reduce plastic waste, which is an admirable gesture to the planet.

Waterproof Phone Pouch

A waterproof phone pouch is essential for getting all of those beach photos without worrying about getting it sandy or wet. Ideally, you should find one that you can wear around your neck so you don’t have to worry about it falling or slipping out of your hands.

What’s more, many of these pouches can even protect your phone under the water which makes for cool underwater photographs!
